This school year looks a little different. Parents are wondering whether they should let their children go to school and risk being around someone who has the virus, virtual learning, or pulling their children out of school all together and homeschooling.
I understand that some parents have no choice but to send their children to school because
they absolutely have to go to work. I hope by writing this, it gives you more options if you are staying home or considering staying home to teach your little ones.
Let’s start with my sister Maria. She is a single mom who has been with the same employer for 19 years. Her son is a freshman this and as much as he wants to go to high school this year, my sister is keeping him home for virtual learning. Maria has always had a “side hustle” but when many Americans were furloughed, she feared she would be too. This motivated her to really push her home business into high gear.
Maria has an eBay store where she sells thrifted clothes. She has learned everything watching YouTube videos and following the pros on social media. Her profits have more than doubled during the pandemic and I think it’s safe to say that she is running out of space in her home for inventory. If you’re thinking you would love to do this, you can find many videos on YouTube for help on getting you started. Here is the link to Maria’s store!
A tip from Maria, “Look around your home and sell whatever you no longer need first.”
Moving on to my brother Gilbert. He has been a cook for over 10 years and was diagnosed with multiple scleroses a few years ago. Because of his underlying condition, he is not working in a professional kitchen where he might be exposed. He and his wife have decided to home school and for income he cooks. He decided to use his talent for his home-based income! He prepares lunches and makes deliveries. Gilbert makes a post on social media with a picture of his lunch special, takes orders, uses payment apps, and makes contactless deliveries.
A tip from Gilbert, “Never half heart, always strive for excellence. Remember your name is behind the product.”
Do you have a talent that you can use to make a home-based business out of?
Last, we will talk about what I am doing. I’m Veronica and I homeschool my 5-year old. I started homeschooling last year so this will be our second year. I am part of the HB Vitality team with HB Naturals. We sell the best organic, plant-based products but the truth is we don’t sell at all, at least not to our family and friends.
I create blogs and vlogs and add them to our website where many people are searching for organic plant-based products. While I am doing this, I am put on a rotator where people are added onto my team, creating a larger downline. Everyone added to my downline can go through the steps like I did to get onto the rotator and they too will start growing their teams.
The HB Vitality from HB Naturals is the only team that puts you on a rotator and helps you grow your downline while you learn about the products.
Don’t know how to write blogs or create vlogs, that’s what The Dojo is for. The Dojo is found in our Facebook Group and is made up of videos and steps where you learn how to use keywords for people to find your blogs and vlogs.
If you know anything about multilevel companies, you know that you once you have annoyed your family and friends to buy products or to get them to join your team, you probably are exhausted and quit.
I don’t bother my family and friends with it, in fact most of them don’t even know that I am working from home.
