I’ve been in Network Marketing for decades now and I been done it on my own and I’ve done it with a team. When you decide you want to be involved in a network marketing business you need to think, “do I do this on my own, or do I find a team I can work with”. As I said above, I’ve done both ways and for me the team way is the best way. Yes, they both have their merits but being part of a team outweighs any disadvantages by a long way.
When you join any network marketing business you should feel happy with the product range. You are going to have to promote them after all, and usually also be using them yourself. If you don’t feel happy with the products how can you be a product of the product?
You also be happy with the compensation plan to and confident it’s going to give you what you want financially for yourself. Let’s face it, as I say above it would be hard to promote products to people if you don’t like the products, or don’t use the products. If you can’t see the compensation plan being lucrative enough to give you what you want from life how’s that going to give the motivation to put in the hard work to grow your business?
So, those two issues are now dealt with. Now you need to think, is it better to join a team or go solo?
Going solo can be very lonely. Starting off alone with very little help from your up line can be a long road. You would need to approach your friends and family and see who is willing join you on your dream. A dream they may well not share of course. You’ll be making lists of all the people you know and develop a strategy to engage each person and give them your pitch. Sound like fun? Well, its not and it can be hard.
Most of the time your friends and family are only going to sign up to help you out. If you’re lucky that is.
You can also attempt to approach strangers in the supermarket queue or on social media, spamming messenger. Good luck with that! These days people are very switch on to being pitched biz ops though social media. You may get some interest, may even get some sign ups, but its a slow process.
So, let’s look at joining a team.
Not all teams are equal, so do your homework first. If you chose well then you’ll be working with a team that’ll have proven strategies already in place. You will have the ability to get plugged into a network of people that are actively looking for the opportunity or the products that you are promoting. You won’t be on an island on your own, there will be other people to bounce ideas, be given training and marketing plans and materials to follow. You’ll be given the tracks to run on.
