Staying Healthy on a Budget

Staying Healthy on a Budget

Many people have lost their job or have become furloughed and Americans are filing for unemployment at a record high. Some of us are finding it hard to pay rent/mortgage, utilities, or get necessities like food. Now, more than ever, it is important to stay healthy as we are in a worldwide pandemic. Eating the right foods and exercising helps with stress and fights illness. When you feel good, your vibration is high and attract more possibilities. Here are a few things I have been doing to Stay Healthy on a Budget.

For me, it starts with having a Healthy Soul. While churches are not open right now, I know a lot of them are offering virtual services on Zoom and Facebook Live. Sometimes all we need is a worship service to get the week started right and it’s free as long as you have internet service. If meditation works better for you, there are tons of guided meditations on YouTube. Or you can sit in a quiet room for 20 minutes to clear your mind. Playing music while working or cleaning always puts me in a good mood. Dance with your spouse or the kids in the living room for a sure way to get happy fast, it’s great exercise and yes, it’s free!

“As your heart rate increases during Exercise, blood flow to the brain increases. As blood flow increases, your brain is exposed to more oxygen and nutrients. Exercise also induces the release of beneficial proteins in the brain.” (https://www.dana.org/article/how-does-exercise-affect-the-brain/)

Gyms are starting to open up, but they have a membership fee. YouTube has tons of workout videos that tailor to your style of workouts. I have found Yoga, Aerobic, and even Cross Training workout videos that are easy to follow and you don’t have to leave your home to do it. Before we had our son, my husband and I walked every afternoon and really enjoyed nature. When my husband’s commute changed, we were not able to do this. Since the pandemic, however, he is now working from home and we are able to walk every afternoon. Now that we have our son, he’s joining in the fun! Walking is free and it gives us a chance to get some fresh air and reconnect.

It’s no surprise that Eating the Right Foods keeps you healthy, but it can get expensive. I find that looking at weekly ads and writing down what meals you can make that are on sale is a great way to stay in budget. Another idea is buying foods in bulk. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a larger package of meat, so I separate it and keep what I don’t use in the freezer. Buy fruit and vegetables that are in season. I find when I do this, they’re usually cheaper. I can’t tell you how many times the broccoli has gone bad and I wish I would have used it sooner. Buying frozen fruit and vegetables makes for less waste. Getting the right nutrients is easy with HB Naturals as they provide plant-based organic products that do not break the bank. Instead of heading to the grocery store, I order all of my vegan supplements through HB Naturals and it gets delivered straight to my door. There is no membership fee like with other companies, and there is zero contact.  My husband and I are always trying to find new ways to stay healthy on a budget and we have found a company with great quality ingredients that we know are safe for all of us to use, including my son.

Here are a few products we use every day. Our son loves Nourish. It’s perfect for kids of all ages and has an ORAC value equal to the antioxidant power of over 7 servings of fruits and vegetables. Just check out the list of ingredients on the site I provided. https://hbnaturals.com/Nourish.asp?site=VeronicaValencia

My husband and I use The Healing Trilogy making sure our Mind Body and Soul are healthy. This trio reduces inflammation, improves circulation, increases energy, and at our age, we really need this! https://hbnaturals.com/healingtrilogypack.asp?site=VeronicaValencia
