As I write this I’m listening to my friend moaning that every part of is body is aching. You see he’s made a commitment to getting back into ideal shape with a 6 pack popping and a muscular chest and all.
Well, it’s been two full weeks now since he began his fitness journey and today he wanted to update me on his results…
First, he says he’s been crushing his workouts. Most days he’s working out for a good hour and a half to two hours… 45 minutes to an hour lifting weights and then 45 mins to an hour of cardio, mixing in high-intensity interval training and slower fat-burning training.
He’s even taken to this new fad of eating clean!!!
So, anyhow last night he looked in the mirror and compared it to a couple of weeks ago. Guess what? Nothing. No change whatsoever! All that work in the gym, eating almost perfectly and he looks pretty much exactly the same!
So he asks me… “Should I give up? I’ve done all these tough workouts and after two weeks – no six-pack! I haven’t even lost 5 pounds of weight and my body fat isn’t at 11% yet!”
So buddy, whaddaya think? Should I throw in the towel?

Yes, it’s been 2 weeks, it should have worked by now, might as well stop. Or would you have said… No, of course not, its only been 2 weeks, what do you expect? Keep on going!
